Driving Directions to Sea-Tac Airport

There are several different ways to drive to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The airport’s main terminal is located at 17801 International Blvd. (State Route 99) in Sea-Tac, Washington. If arriving from Seattle, north of Sea-Tac, the most well loved way to get to the airport is to take Interstate 5 south for about ten miles to Exit 154B, and then drive west briefly on State Route (“SR”) 518.

Sea-Tac Airport can also be reached from the north via SR 509. From downtown Seattle, take SR 99 to the First Avenue Bridge, which becomes SR 509. Follow SR 509 until you reach the interchange with SR 518 in Burien. Turn left onto SR 518 and take it for approximately one mile to the east, then follow the signs to Sea-Tac Airport. This can be a excellent alternative route from downtown Seattle as traffic can be heavy on Interstate 5.

To get to the airport from the south of SeaTac, take Interstate 5 north to Exit 154, the Burien/SeaTac Exit. The exit takes you directly onto SR 518 westbound. Sea-Tac Airport is the first exit off SR518. The airport can also be reached from the south by taking Exit 151 off Interstate 5 onto S. 188th Street. Drive westbound on S. 188th Street to International Blvd. for about two miles. Sea-Tac Airport is on your right hand side. The airport can also be reached from the south or north via International Blvd. (SR 99), but it is a busy roadway with many traffic lights. Sea-Tac airport is about twenty miles north of Tacoma.

If arriving to the airport from Bellevue or the eastside, take SR 405 south to the Interstate 5 interchange. Continue straight as SR 405 south turns into SR 518 west. Take the first exit off SR 518 for the airport. The airport is located about fifteen miles southwest of Bellevue. From the cities of Normandy Park or Burien to the west of the airport, the most can be conveniently reached by taking either S. 188th Street eastbound to International Blvd. or by taking SR 518 eastbound to the airport exit.

Top Airport Parking Options

Your trip is plotted and your bags are packed. Now it’s time to get to the  airport to get on your flight. Many people don’t reckon about parking options  until they arrive at the airport. By then, you’ll simply end up parking anywhere  you can. Here are some options for plotting your airport parking.

Valet

One option to consider when you’re thinking about airport parking is valet  parking. Many people are unaware that valet parking is an option. This is  really a wonderful time saver. You can simply pull up to the designated spot  and hand your car over to the valet attendant. From here you can simply grab  your luggage and briefcase and go. The parking attendant will take care of  getting your car properly parked.

Valet is helpful when you’re small on time. There is no need to drive around  the parking lot looking for a space. You can certainly waste a lot of time that  way. You will also avoid parking miles from your destination. Using valet is  also simpler when you return home. You’ll be able to have quick access to your  vehicle so you’ll be out of the airport in record time.

Prepaid

An option that you may want to consider is prepaid parking like Parking  Connection. Prepaid parking allows you to pay ahead of time so you’ll save time  at the lot especially if you are parking at a busy airport. You can really  reserve ahead of time so that the parking experience will be quick and simple,  especially if you are looking for LAX parking, JFK Parking, or LGA Parking. You  can make a reservation online and pay for the type of parking that you prefer.  You will find several options to pick from including valet and self-park.  Depending on your airport, you’ll be able to choose the exact option and pay for  part or all of it ahead of time.

Self-Parking

Self parking is often the least desirable option when it comes to airport  parking. But, if you are willing to spend a small more time, you’ll be able  to save money. You’ll typically find that there are shuttles running between  parking lots and terminals to make it simple and quick to get back and forth. Also,  if you prepay for by making a reservation you’ll find that the experience is  much better. The entire experience will go much more smoothly when you make a  reservation ahead of time.

Reserved

Frequent travelers will appreciate learning about reserved parking. You can  go online and reserve your space as far in advance as you like. You’ll be able  to secure a excellent parking space with your preferred option. Simply look online to  find the options that are available for your specific airport. Making a  reservation allows you to be sure of getting a spot so you’ll never again need  to drive endlessly around. You’ll be able to pay part or all of the parking  ahead of time. This is a fantastic option for anyone who wants a more convenient way  to park at the airport.

Finding Convenient Airport Parking

Airport parking is often crowded and hard to manage. You can spend too  much time trying to locate a parking space only to find that you’ve got about a  mile to walk to get to the terminal. Instead, there is another option that is  much more convenient.

Offsite Airport Parking
Offsite parking is an option that many people  don’t reckon about when going to the airport. The offsite lot has many features  that make it a fantastic choice for those who drive to the airport especially for  busy airports like finding LAX parking, JFK parking, or DIA parking. These lots  are located slightly away from the airport. While this may seem like an  inconvenience to some, it is really a nice convenience feature. You won’t need  to drive all the way into the airport terminal areas, which are typically  crowded and full of traffic. Instead, you’ll be able to drive to the lot that’s  located where it’s simple to access.

Location
Offsite parking lots are typically located on the outskirts of  the airport. They are nearly always near a major road or highway, making it simple  to get to no matter where you’re coming from. You’ll avoid traffic jams so  you’ll save time. The location is also well situated for getting out. Once you  get back to your vehicle you’ll be able to scoot right out onto the road without  sitting in airport traffic. You’ll have access to a convenient shuttle to get  you right to the terminal door.

Reservation
Offsite parking lots may offer the ability to make  reservations online such as Airport Parking Connection. This convenience option  is perfect for those who travel a lot. You can make a reservation far in advance  so you’ll always be assured of having a parking spot when you need it. You’ll be  able to fill out an online form that lets you choose the day and time of both  arrival and departure. You will never need to waste time driving around  aimlessly looking for a parking spot. Instead, you’ll have a parking spot just  waiting for you.

Valet Parking
You can often have access to valet parking. This lets you  get in and out to the terminal as quickly as possible. Just drop your car off  and get to your flight. Valet parking doesn’t cost much more than standard  parking and is quite convenient, particularly when it’s raining or cold outside.  You can make a reservation for valet parking as well as standard parking so you  will have an attendant available when you arrive. A valet makes leaving simple,  too. When you’re tired from your trip the last thing you want to do is walk all  the way to your car.

Cost Savings
Using an offsite parking lot is usually a lot less expensive  than parking at the airport lot. There aren’t any hidden fees that are often  tacked onto airport parking. Instead, you’ll find that the prices for using  offsite lots are much more affordable. You’ll also have the option to pre-pay  for your parking so you won’t need to take the time to pay when you get your  car. You may also get some additional savings by reserving your parking  online.
